Nick’s Poorly Phrased Questions
How old do you have to be?
How old do you have to be to do what? Form a complete sentence? Nick’s is one of the few comedy clubs in Boston that is 18 and over. This means if you are under 21 you can still catch a show and watch older people drink and have a much better time that you.
What day are your times and shows?
Unless noted, our shows are Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights at 8:30 PM. There are no shows on Sunday as we just can’t compete with the Church and their amazing numbers. Please note that Nick’s has an upstairs and a downstairs room so you will often find two times listed for the same comedian, either that or they’re very fast and schizophrenic.
Do you have parking?
We will remind you that this is Boston, street parking is as plentiful as are random acts of kindness. and Republicans. However Nick’s has a great deal with the 200 Stuart Street Garage right next door and offers $10 validated parking on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. This might be a good time to point out that your car is destroying the environment and is endangering the future of your grandchildren.
Do you serve drinks?
Yes, our guests find that many of our shows are actually much more enjoyable after drinking. We have a full liquor license and for the 18 + crowd we have Sunny-D and assorted juice boxes.
Is there a drink minimum?
No, but all of our drinks come served in 72 oz. glasses.
Are your comedians funny?
No, we got to be 31 by mimicking Public Access Television. Nick’s Comedy Stop is where Boston Comedy all began over 30 years ago and we’ve been showcasing the best local and national favorites like Lenny Clarke, Denis Leary, Don Gavin, Steve Steve Sweeney and Joe Wong before sold-out crowds. Our comedians go through a rigid training regimen which results in only the best stand-up but also the lowest body fat index on stage.
Do you serve food?
No. we have a deal with our restaurant neighbors, they don’t bomb at stand-up, we don’t butcher the risotto. While we don’t serve food at Nick’s there are many great dining options in the Theater District like Rustic Kitchen, Vapiano’s, the Intermission Tavern and The Theatre Cafe. If you present your receipt or marinara stained shirt at our box office we’ll give you $5 off your Nick’s Tix and a moist towelette.
Do you offer discounts/group rates?
Yes, half price for all students and military personnel with valid ID or semi automatic weapons. We’re kidding, ID and shell casings only please.
Where are you located?
We really can’t say for sure without looking at our GPS. As we vaguely recall, Nick’s is located in the heart of Boston’s Theatre District at 100 Warrenton Street. There’s a Google thingy on our directions page to help you find your way. Godspeed intrepid traveler.
Does Nick’s have a dress code?
Casual attire please, except for “Lederhosen Friday”.
Do you believe in magic?
Not in the traditional sense, no. We do however all own unicorns and at least one pair of Harry Potter footie pajamas if that counts for something.
